The beach of Las Canteras is one of the most popular on the island. You are just steps away from the city centre, but at the same time you feel the relaxed atmosphere of the beach. The climate of the north coast of Gran Canaria where Las Canteras beach lays, is mild and fresh. You can enjoy a lot of sport activities at this beautiful urban beach.The beach has a reef known as \\\"La Barra\\\" which also has surfable waves and protects the northern part of the beach, creating a giant pool which hides wonderful underwater wildlife.
In the area of \\\"La Barra\\\" you can practice paddle surf (SUP), snorkel and swim. Our hostel is located at the beachfront, only a few steps from the sandy beach. The terrace has an amazing ocean view from where you can see the whole bay of Las Palmas.
Snorkelling equipment, volleyball, rackets and other beach games are at your disposal in HiTide House.
With a mild climate throughout the year, Las Canteras beach is the perfect spot for surfing (40 surf peaks in the city), bodyboarding, paddle surf (SUP), beach volleyball, snorkeling, tennis beach or simply lay on the beach all day and enjoy some of the best sunsets on the island. We are in the hub of the main city beach surrounded by bars, restaurants, clubs and surf schools. The city of Las Palmas has rich day/night life, frequent activities and free live music concerts on weekends during the whole year.
